The 2025 racing season is just around the corner and, as every year, we dedicate time to the training and updating of our Race Officials to ensure they are fully prepared from the very first events on track.
This morning, January 25, 2025, a selected and strategically chosen group of our members took part in an informational meeting held in the press room of the Mugello Circuit, focusing on the risks involved in track marshal duties during circuit activities.
Joining Antonio Canu—Permanent Race Director at the Mugello Circuit and President of our association—were Dr. Luigi Felisa and Dr. Michele Taddei of EcoGeo S.r.l., a leading company in the sector that partners with our association to keep safety awareness at the highest levels during our members’ operational activities.
The session addressed the following topics:
• Regulatory framework on applicable safety laws
• Duties and responsibilities of Track Marshals
• Operational safety procedures according to the motorsport regulations
• Interference risks with other track operations (firefighting, vehicle recovery, extrication, etc.)
• PPE: characteristics, usage, maintenance, and management
The attendees showed great interest and engagement with a topic that directly concerns their daily work on track.
We thank them for attending and are confident they will make good use of what they learned today and share their knowledge with those they’ll work alongside this season.
