The last of the days dedicated to training in preparation for the 2024 season took place on March 3rd.
The course aimed to offer new Race Officials all the elements necessary to deal with fire situations involving a two or four-wheeled vehicle was held in the splendid setting of the Mugello Circuit.
The first part of the course, promoted by Associazione Ufficiali di Gara di Firenze in collaboration with CEA and I.M.M.A., took place in the morning in the Media Centre of the circuit where, after greetings from our president and Clerk of the Course of the Mugello Circuit Antonio Canu , Riccardo and Alberto Del Sala, active members and backbone of CEA Squadra Corse, provided participants with the fundamental theoretical bases: from the elements necessary for combustion to occur, to the different types of extinguishing substances and their ideal applications, from the intervention methods in the event of a fire, to the methods for recovering cars on the track.
In the afternoon the scene moved to the paddock of the racetrack where an area was set up to simulate a fire and carry out practical fire extinguishing tests.
All participants followed the course with enthusiasm and participation and performed the practical test successfully.
